just wondered if any body had info about hog hunting in arkasas. ive been to ar game and wildlife site but would like more info than they give out, for example what counties are best and any parks that you can hunt for non resident

There are quite a few national forest in ARK. I know there are hogs on the south end, but not much public ground down there. Ark is a permission state. You must have written permission on your person to be on land you don't own if it is not public land.

Most of the land owners I know will be glad to let you hunt hogs during non deer seasons.

I've got a buddy who lives around the Norfork/Mt. Home area (close to the MO border) and he shoots hogs there quite a bit.. his property borders the national forest so he's got it made!

I played football in Russellville during late '80 and did a good bit of hunting and fishing while I was there...but I don't ever remember seeing any hogs or sign while I was there. I know that was a long time ago! I've got a uncle that retired and moved up to the Jasper area (he's just shot a second black bear, in 8 months on his back porch trying to get into the metal dog food can!) I can call him and see if he knows of anything.
